"Psychologically Inadvisable"

I love this but I need to think about the wider implications.

Dissatisfied jazz buff actually complains to Spanish Civil Guard that the Larry Ochs Sax and Drumming Core group was "on the wrong side of a line dividing jazz from contemporary music."

Get this - his doc advises him that it is, " 'psychologically inadvisable' for him to listen to anything that could be mistaken for mere contemporary music."

The police actually listen to the band and feel sufficiently informed on the subject to pronounce on the jazziness of Larry and the boys.

Verdict: the purist might, indeed, have a case.

I'm sure this can be turned into a wider movement governing many other sorts of muzak. And think of the new police departments that could spring up, each staffed by experts in their respective field of music.

You can't say that I don't deliver the goods, from the weedy to the wonderful.
